  • 2020 Site.Org  Nice collection by topic. Includes How to books…Many are illustrated.
  • Arabian Nights.org  The Arabian Nights are a collection of Persian, Arabian and Indian folk tales handed down through several centuries.
  • Bartleby's The most up-to-date and comprehensive free full-text reference site. With over 370,000 full-text searchable web pages categorized by subject, and indexed by author, title and other unique criteria, Bartleby.com attracted over 40 million unique users last year who read the biographies of today’s newsmakers, found the right quotations to illustrate their work, verified points of English usage, read poems and short stories, and performed in-depth research on Shakespeare and other literary and historical figures.

  • Blackmask.com  There are 15060 books for you to choose from! Divided By Category/Subject
  • Bookrags.com  The complete e-texts for over 1,500 novels are available online for free.
  • Bookshare  (for persons with disabilities only, copyrighted and noncopyrighted text, many e-texts are free)
  • Classic Reader.com ClassicReader.com, where you can read, search, and annotate great works of literature by authors such as Dickens, Tolstoy, Shakespeare, and many others. The collection currently contains 842 books and 1211 short stories by 216 authors.

  • EBooks3.com Good collection here but watch the Pop-ups
  • Electronic Text Center, University of Virginia Thousands of E-texts, most are public domain…a few are limited to UV students only. This site is even divided by grade level.

  • Jon Bohrn’s Jon Bohrn’s Poetry Site
  • The Moonlit Road  Features storytellers from the American South. Featured stories change regularly, and are available in sound formats as well as in text.
  • Online Literature.com  Offers searchable online literature for the student, educator, or enthusiast. They currently have over 300 full books and over 1000 short stories and poems by over 90 authors. The quotations database has over 8500 quotes.

  • Shakespeare Literature.com  The complete works of William Shakespeare can be found here
