Kentucky FFA is a co-curricular organization for students enrolled in an approved program of Agricultural Education.
Formed in 1930, Kentucky FFA has over 14,000 members in over 140 local chapters. Kentucky FFA is part of the National FFA Organization which has over 550,000 members in all fifty states, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
Today, FFA remains committed to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
The FFA Motto is Learning to do, Doing to learn, Earning to live, Living to serve.
Kentucky FFA is led by a group of twelve State Officers and a State Advisory Committee. The State FFA Advisor and State FFA Executive Secretary are members of the State Agricultural Education Professional Staff and administer the programs of the organization.
Leadership Development – FFA Student Organization
The co-curricular student organization, FFA, provides an avenue for students to “develop premier leadership, personal growth and career success, through agricultural education”*. FFA offers students many ways to develop and grow as a person. It provides incentive for improved student performance through its awards, scholarship, and leadership programs.
