Each school must develop, jointly with parents of children participating in Title I, Part A services, a written school parental involvement policy that describes how the school will carry out the parental involvement requirements in section 1118(c)-(f), including the development of a school-parent compact. This policy and compact is attached to the student information packets and given to parents during the first week of school. Parents may also view each school's policy and compact at the following links:
South Magoffin Elementary
Salyersville Grade School
Herald Whitaker Middle School
North Magoffin Elementary
Anyone wanting to make suggestions to or be part of a discussion to evaluate and revise these policies and compacts may do so by contacting Debbie Swiney. A policy/compact meeting will be held at each school in April. Dates for these meetings will be posted in the District Newsletter and a parent invitation given to students.
A written parent involvement policy at the district level must be jointly developed, agreed upon, and distributed to parents of participating children. Click below to access the district policy.
