Kentucky State University will be hosting a three week long summer bridge program to introduce a select group of rising 11th and 12th graders to science and engineering career opportunities. This National Science Foundation funded LSAMP Summer Bridge program will run from June 12th through July 1st, 2011. The program is designed to increase the number of minorities pursuing careers in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology. Participants will have the opportunity to take inquiry-based science and mathematics workshops, and visit several research facilities. Selected students will receive a stipend of $750 ($250/week) in addition to on-campus room and board. Application deadline is April 15, 2011.

Applicants must be rising juniors or seniors during the fall 2011 semester with an overall GPA of 2.8 or better and ACT score of 20 or better.
