The Magoffin County Elementary Athletic Association's Annual Boys Basketball Tournament will be held at the Salyersville Grade School Gym on Monday December 9th--Tuesday December 10th. Dance and Cheer Competitions will also be held. The complete Schedule is listed Below:
Monday December 9th, 2013
5:30 p.m. – Dance Competition Teams will compete in the following order;
1. North Magoffin Elementary
2. South Magoffin Elementary
3. Salyersville Grade School
KAPOS judges will be used to judge competition.
The following rooms will be used for dressing;
Room 120 – Salyersville Grade School
Room 121 – South Magoffin
Room 123 – North Magoffin
The cafeteria will be used as a staging/warm-up area.
6:00 p.m. – Salyersville Grade School Blue/Gold Game
6:30 p.m. – Semi Final
#3 Seeded Team vs. #2 Seeded Team
The following rooms will be used for dressing;
Room 130 – #3 Seeded Team
Room 136 – #2 Seeded Team

6:15 p.m. – Championship Game
Winner of Semi Final Game vs. #1 SEEDED TEAM
The following rooms will be used for dressing;

Room 136 – Winner of Semi Final Game

General Tournament Guidelines
- Higher seeded team will wear light color uniforms.
- will have officials for judging, time, score keeper, and referring.
- Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for students.
- All players from each team will be announced prior to each game. (Please send your roster to SGS no later than Friday December 6th by 12:00 pm.)
- *Cheerleaders will be judged on the first night that their team plays, according to KAPOS rules. Cheer squads will use same dressing rooms as Dance teams.
- JV dancers are encouraged to perform on Tuesday night. Please let Mr. Gary Helton know whether or not your JV dance squad will be performing.
- Trophy presentation will be conducted at the conclusion of the Championship game and trophies will be presented to the Champion and runner-up in Boys Basketball, Dance Competition, and Cheerleading. Individual medals to the champion and runner-up teams (Basketball – 15, Dance – 18, Cheer - 16.)
- KAPOS judges will be used to judge Cheer & Dance competition.
- Cheer squads will use the same locker rooms as dance teams.
