Technology Department

The mission of the Magoffin County Schools is to accept the responsibility and challenge of educating all students to be proficient life long learners. The goal of the Technology department is to enhance the learning process with a wide variety of technologies. All classrooms now have “Smart Classrooms” that will allow the teachers to integrate technology into the curriculum at all grade levels. The Technology Integration Specialists provide on-going job embedded professional development for an enhanced technology rich classroom experience for all students.

Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP)

The Kentucky Department of Education’s Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) uses project-based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement through the utilization (and creation) of technology to solve school and community needs. STLP provides a means for student to design, make, connect and learn.

Student products, projects, and services are showcased through local, regional, and state events. The “Big 3” events include Regionals, DPOJ, and STLP State Championship.
