HWMS Language Arts Classes Are Enjoying MacBook Mobile Labs

The HWMS Language Arts classes have enjoyed reading "The Giver" online through the use of two mobile MacBook Computer Labs. These labs have enabled all teachers to incorporate technology into many lessons. The labs were provided by the GEAR UP Program.

HWMS Guidance Counselor Teaches Students Important Lessons

Bonnie Dyer, HWMS School Counselor,  has spent several days working with the 7th and 8th grade students on preventative lessons on bullying and suicide. The ultimate goal is to provide students with information and materials to help them make socially responsible decisions to reduce and prevent bullying and suicidal problems.

New Agriculture Teacher Enriches Students' 21st Century Learning Skills

Mrs. Kendall Wright, MCHS agriculture teacher, assists students as they work on an Agriculture Employability project.  Students are researching careers and preparing visual presentations to share with the class.

HWMS Math Students Are Back On Task

These students are not wasting any time in math class. They began their 8th grade year with a scavenger hunt. They were given random math problems to solve. The answer to their problem revealed their assigned seat for math class.   Answers are now categorized into rational or irrational groups and placed on a number line.
