On Monday Dec. 4th, 2023 Mrs. Collista Allen (health science teacher) and MCHS, “HOSA” “Health Occupations Students of America” visited the SGS and the HWMS to work with the children to make hand crafted Christmas cards and drop off handmade HOSA Christmas item donation boxes for the Salyersville Nursing Home residents.
This is a fun festive way for our school to celebrate the Holiday season. It is completely optional. Participation is not required, only suggested!
Please consider adopting a student from the Salyersville Grade School Angel Tree. Donations due by December 8, 2023.
Mrs. Makinlee is partnering up with our school’s PTO to have some help with her community project for her UNITE Club. We would love to have the whole school be a part of her community project, Chemo Care Kits for Children & Adults.

Our Christmas Dance has been changed to December 12th and will be DURING school.
UK King's Daughters Walk-In Care for Schools nurse practitioner Leigh-Ann Meade, APRN, is now offering care to students, staff, and faculty at Magoffin County Schools.
South Magoffin Elementary will be hosting their Christmas Program on Thursday, December 14, 2023 beginning at 9:00 am. Everyone is invited to attend.
