SGS student creates murial after reading inspiring story in class.
Sixth grade students Cayden Montgomery, Bentley Kirk, Lillie Howard, and Kaisee Harvey visited the Magoffin County Fiscal Court today. They watched as Lieutenant Governor Jacqueline Coleman presented awards to Magoffin County for several upcoming projects and even had the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with Mrs. Coleman.
After reading, “Maybe Something Beautiful”, students at SGS were able to visualize, make deeper connections to the text, and enhance their artistic skills by becoming muralist like the main character, Mira, a young girl who loved art.
