Open to all North Magoffin Elementary students, the Gourd-Geous Pumpkin Path Contest encourages creativity of Pumpkin decorating!
The Herald Whitaker Middle School Lady Hornets is currently selling Nothing Bundt Cakes as a fundraiser.
Boo Grams will run thru October 25th at $1 each and will be distributed every other day to students! If you need more or have any questions feel free to contact the school!
Returning to the win column, Magoffin County shut out June Buchanan 3-0 on Thursday, Sept. 19.
The MCHS Dance Jam is open to students in Headstart-8th Grade and will be held at Magoffin County High School on Saturday, Oct. 19.
The faculty and students of Magoffin County High School are deeply saddened by the loss of a member of our Hornet family. We would like to take this moment to extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of senior Kayla Elam. Kayla was an intelligent, kind, and caring young lady who was loved by her friends and teachers. She will be deeply missed, but we are confident that her memory will live on in all those who were privileged enough to have her in their lives.
Junior Matthew Hall finished 17th to lead Magoffin County at the Harlan County All-Comers Meet on Tuesday, Sept. 17.

Attention 11th or 12th grade students. If you are a 1st generation college student or if you meet certain income guidelines and you plan to attend Morehead State University, you may be eligible to participate in R.I.S.E. (Rural Internship STEM Experiences) through Morehead State University.
