Seniors at Magoffin County High School have a full schedule of events for April and May.
Herald Whitaker Middle School will be hosting their cheer clinic and tryouts for the 2025/2026 school year. The parent meeting is scheduled for April 29th at 5:30pm.
Our 8th grade students were given the chance to vote on where to take their 8th grade trip this year and they have chosen to attend Main Event in Lexington, Kentucky.

Salyersville Grad School will be hosting their Spring Book Fair March 24, 28, 2025. Online ordering and E-Wallet is now available.
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland.
The Magoffin County High School Dance Team captured two state championships at Western Hills High School in Frankfort on Saturday, Feb. 22. The MCHS Dance Team finished first out of five teams in Small Jazz. The MCHS Dance Team finished first out of eight teams in Small Pom.
The Herald Whitaker Middle School Yearbook Staff is currently accepting advertisements for the upcoming yearbook.

Magoffin County Schools and the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) value your input and want to hear about your experience as a parent or guardian of a child with an Individual Education Program (IEP). The information you offer will give the KDE and Magoffin County Schools valuable data on how to improve parent and family engagement.
South Magoffin Elementary is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House in Lexington. Last year our little school collected around 200 lb and we hope to collect more than that this year. Please share this post and gave your tabs.
