Magoffin County Athletics consists of sports throughout all five of the district's schools. Students can participate in football, basketball, cheer, and dance from third grade through high school. Students can compete in volleyball, softball, track and field, Tennis, and baseball beginning in middle school. In 2018, middle school students began competing in Archery events. 
In 2014, the Magoffin County Athletic Program opened two new venues, the Magoffin County Football and Track and Field Complex, located behind the new Magoffin County High School, and the Tim Bostic Memorial Athletic Complex which includes softball and baseball fields, along with tennis courts. This venue is located next to the Salyersville Grade School.
