Photo by JIM ARNETT Reigning Miss Magoffin County Kennedy Conley crowned the newest to the title, Miss Magoffin County Erin Grace Rudd, Friday night during Founder's Day events. Rudd also won the Sunshine Award.

SALYERSVILLE INDEPENDENT--Congratulations to the newly-crowned Miss Magoffin County Erin Grace Rudd! In addition to winning the pageant, she also earned the Sunshine Award. Pageant Director Jincy Bailey reported that all of the contestants did a fantastic job and Erin Grace Rudd will have a wonderful year ahead.

About the new Miss Magoffin County
Erin Grace Rudd is the 17-year-old daughter of Stephen and Katrina Rudd of Royalton. A Senior at Magoffin County High School, she plans to attend the University of Kentucky and major in Vocal Performance. In the future, she plans to become a vocal professor and open her own private voice studio. For her talent, Erin performed the aria “O Mio Babbino Caro” from the opera Gianni Schicchi. Her Community Service Initiative is “STARS (Supporting Talent and Arts Resources in Schools)”.

As the winner of the Miss Magoffin County Scholarship Pageant, which is a preliminary in the Miss America Organization, Rudd received a $700 scholarship, prizes, flowers, official sash, official Miss America local crown and will advance to the Miss Kentucky Pageant, to be held in Bowling Green in June of 2026.
